We both had a great couple of days and enjoyed the Spa although the Salt rooms were not available and my mum didn't get the treatment she wanted.

Very welcoming staff. It is a return visit so just as good as last year. Spa good and not overcrowded and the treatments were very good.

Myself and my daughter enjoyed the pure bliss spa day. We were impressed with the spa facilities having 4 different spa rooms, a lovely warm Jacuzzi and a large swimming pool. The full body massage was good along with afternoon tea to finish the day off. We will be back and next time we will use the gym facilities.

This was my second visit to the Spa. The staff were excellent and attentive. The treatments we received were fantastic. My friend who is gluten intolerant was treated to specially made gluten free scone (I did inform the Spa before our visit) and other gluten free biscuits and cake because the cook felt the scone was a "little crumbly". I too was given extra so I didn't feel "left out" Nice touch!! The facilities themselves fall down a little because of lack of individual changing rooms, showers that are inadequate (very difficult to regulate temperature) and only one ladies toilet in in the changing room. It was very busy when we attended and the dustbin in the loo was overflowing, not a good look!!! The floor being very wet was dangerous and no sign displayed to warn of such. I realise this sort of thing is very difficult to regulate but more cleaning staff might help the situation! I am being picky, as I feel that when you spend a lot of money on such days, things should be top notch!!!!! Having said all this (which is why I have only given 4 stars) my friend and I had a super day and I would definitely go back to the Parsonage Spa as the pros way outweigh the cons!!!

The spa was great, couldn't fault it apart from my partner and I were both down for back rituals but our treatments were very different - one being much better and more thorough than the other. Also the lights in the ladies changing rooms were faulty and off for most of the afternoon.
Upon arrival, we weren't greeted very warmly by the receptionist. We had arrived early and were told we could get a drink and wait but she wasn't very informative as to where and we felt dismissed. We went to the Fat Abbott for a drink which was lovely, the staff in there were extremely welcoming and helpful. We went back for dinner later in the evening and the staff were equally as attentive and the food was great.
Our room at The Parsonage was very underwhelming. It was extremely dated and felt really dingy. The room was really chilly and the walls were very thin as we could hear the bathroom fan from the room next door and lots of their conversations. The toilet seat was stained with urine which is far from what you expect when staying in any hotel never mind one you've paid slightly more than average for.
We left some items behind in out wardrobe and rung the hotel within a few hours of leaving. I was told housekeeping had left for the day and someone would get back to me the following morning. Later the next day I still hadn't heard back from the hotel so I rang again. The receptionist apologised and said she'll make sure someone contacts me the following day. By 11:30am the next day I hadn't received a call so I rang the hotel and was told housekeeping couldn't be located and they would ring me back - again! We were on the way back home so needed to know whether it was worth driving out of our way to pick up the lost items...the receptionist "promised" to ring back within 10 mins. An hour later I hadn't been contacted and we made the decision to drive back to the hotel on our way home (an hour out of our way). When we arrived at the hotel, there was still some confusion and a hunt as to who to ask and where the missing items would be. We are fully aware it's fault on our part for leaving the items behind but you'd expect when the room was cleaned, the items would be kept and the owners notified. Our items were in fact lost and no where to be found and no explanation could be given. I honestly can't comprehend how this could happen.
We were really disappointed with The Parsonage and feel for what we paid for our stay, it really didn't deliver. It's in a lovely setting, the spa is nice but the hotel really isn't up to scratch.
We won't be returning.

Poor room, just like being in Faulty Towers. Decor like a 80s throw back, very disappointed. Ripped of on the Pamper Break price, would have been cheaper to book the hotel and treatments separately and pay a room only price.

Mentioned all these points to the hotel and someone was going to call us .....

Would not recommend if you want a luxury break. 😂

Superb, friendly, attentive staff. Excellent treatments. Need more individual changing facilities, and one ladies toilet is simply not enough!! This did not however detract from a super day! Thank you! Will definitely return, When I have saved up!!
