The range of saunas and steam rooms, pool, foot spa etc was all excellent - the garden room is gorgeous and our massages were really good. The only negative was that due to the lack of vegetarian options on the menu, we ended up having to go elsewhere for lunch, when we’d originally planned to have some food and then return to the poolside area and stay a while longer.
We booked a one night stay at the hotel and the deal included the spa, a 25 minute treatment, bottle of Prosecco, strawberries and cream, dinner and breakfast.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The spa was nice it was just a little unorganised. However, the spa treatment was lovely and relaxing.
The hotel is a bit dated and the bed was not the most comfortable. Although, the dinner was nice and the bottle of Prosecco in the room was a lovely touch.
Overall we had a lovely stay.
My partner and I stayed the hotel for a night. It was his birthday and on our arrival they left us a plate with cakes and HB written on it. Nice touch!
The spa treatment was perfect, just what we needed. The only downside was our dinner meals. There is a lot of potential but for the amount of time the food took, a much better preparation could be given.
All the staff (reception, restaurant, spa) were 5 starts and we are willing to go back because of them.
There was a problem with the check in.... had to wait around 45 min past the check in time because room wasn’t ready ...
Problem with computer system when sat down having evening meal ..This resulted in us waiting 45min in between starters and main meal .
Staff was amazing and done there best with what problems they faced but I Believe they didn’t have the right number on staff on to deal with the rate of people in the hotel that night .
Really lovely staff, fantastic food and a great value trip considering how many things were included in the price (spa treatment, meals, Prosecco etc). The afternoon tea was a fairly basic affair but the scones were delicious, would highly recommend
