It was terrible. The therapists didn't want to be there. We went to reception at 3.50pm (treatment booked for 4pm) so that we could complete consultation forms in good time. They didn't come out until 4.10pm and the leisure staff didn't give us any forms so they had to be filled in at that point. Which meant we didn't get undressed and on to the treatments beds until 4.15pm. Our treatments finished at dead on 4.30pm. We were given a double room even though we are friends (rather than partners) having two different treatments. One of the therapists didn't even speak to us- not even to say hello. Neither therapist spoke to us about the treatments. Not even to confirm massage pressure/any allergies. My friend was disappointed with her facial as expected to hear what would suit her/what she should be buying and wanted to purchase.
I've had some pretty bad treatments in my time (I'm a therapist myself) but never have I been treated by people quite as rude.
The hotel was spot on in cleaningness, staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the waffle station took us by surprise! However we thought the rooms were slightly small, the masseuse did not seem to experienced as the massage was awful. Also the housekeeping ladies opened our room twice despite we shouting not to as we were in the room. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it.
More of a hotel than a spa break. Only 2 loungers by the pool with no where else to sit around the pool/sauna etc facilities which was disappointing. We would have liked to relax by the pool which was not possible. Lots of children in the pool the afternoon we arrived and Sunday so limited access/space and noisy. The fruit plate in the room was just 2 apples and an orange in a bowl so unsatisfactory for an items listed as part of the spa offer. Hotel facilities and rooms were on the whole good although a lot of children running around the reception and restaurant areas shouting and playing. Food was reasonable although starters of beef carpaccio (still frozen and had to be returned) and souflee (cold in the middle) were in part inebible. Fish pie had very little fish and was all potato. The food offer itself and Brrakfast was good value. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated with all that was needed.
Super happy with the hotel and staff. Everything was done to the best quality. Breakfast and dinner was really lovely, the bedrooms were clean and ideal for our time there.
The overall package was excellent value, breakfast in particular was great.
There could be more (any) seating around the pool and a hot jaccuzzi would also have been much better.
Would definitely do it again as was a great way to meet up with friends.
