The spa treatments were fantastic and the girls who did them were very present however the reception staff didn't really have time for us the pool sauna etc wants a good make over not very plesent , and the dinner was disappointing as there was a selection of two wraps neither I liked and you don't get a pre menu before you book

Myself and my stepmum had a wonderfully relaxing day at Aldwark Manor Spa! We arrived and were given a tour of the facilities and had a wonderful time relaxing by the pool, and leisurely using the facilities such as the whirlpool, steam room and sauna throughout the day. We had lunch in the restaurant which was part of the package we booked and was great value and a lovely break in the day! In the afternoon we both enjoyed the revitalising treatment with massage which was so relaxing and left me with wonderfully smooth and fresher looking skin! All the staff were super helpful and we would definitely visit again!

We arrived at Aldwark Manor at 11:30, 3 1/2 hours too early to check in. We were greeted with a warm welcome at the reception and we're told our room was ready 3 1/2 hours early. Great news! We were asked if we needed help with our luggage and then told where our room was. Our room was clean and warm, with the window open to let some fresh air in. Everything was spot on so couldn't fault the room. The en suite was clean and as expected. Walked over to the spa reception to book our spa treatments. Again greeted with a warm welcome, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered free drinks while we decided what treatments to have. They provided us with a robe, slippers and a towel. The treatments were spot on and staff very professional. We went over to the restaurant for lunch, the food was well prepared and very happy with that. We had a swim in the pool which was extremely clean and just the right temperature. We then went into the steam room and sauna which again was clean and just perfect. However the 2 showers were awkward to use and one didn't work as expected. Later on in the evening we went for dinner at the restaurant. Our food didn't take too long to come out and was lovely, but was disappointed when we asked at least 4 times for the bill between 2 waiters and the waiters were chatting to other staff while we waited at least 15-20 minutes for out bill. We then stood up and went to the front to pay, amazed that we could then paid instantly so not sure why we had to ask 4 times and wait 20 minutes. We had a great time overall and felt very relaxed after the treatments at the spa. Only negatives were the showers in the pool area and the service time at the restaurant. Positives, our room was ready 3 1/2 hours early, the hotel was very clean and tidy, the atmosphere very relaxing and tranquil, the facilities decent and spa treatments excellent.

We only had limited choice of spa treatments on the lastminute special midweek offer.. It should have specified the allowance

Nice treatments, staff really friendly but changing rooms tiny. Not sure I would go back again due to this fact.

A lovely stay, beautiful surroundings. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No power shower but was acceptable. Not a great view out of the bedroom window, we looked out onto a roof.
Leisure facilities were good, although the changing rooms and showers could of done with a good clean. It was rather busy in the hotel though. All in all a good stay and highly recommended.

The best think about our spa day was the treatments. The ladies who did the treatments were professional very friendly and do a fantastic job. The spa day was let down by the hotel it's self, the changing rooms were very small and there were swimming classes being held so lots of babies and children (I'm a mother of 3 young children and my idea of a spa day is to relax away from the kids, the toilets were smelly and unclean. The weren't enough spa facilities compared with others spas I've been to (husband and I got bored) the ambience wasn't relaxing felt like I was at my local swimming pool. Lunch was not great, would have preferred to choose from a menu u get a choice of two wraps With salad and couscous which wasn't all that good and very dry no flavour. Dessert was nice fruit and cheesecake but didn't like it being in the same tray as lunch made it seem like cantine food. All in all it was ok but I've been to much better spas. The treatments saved it!
