My haircut was fine, but the experience on the whole was not great. It wasn't the worst, just not very good. I booked my appointment for 11:30am then the next day got confirmation that it was at 12pm. I rang the salon to say it was inconvenient and Joleyn said she'd had to change it (but hadn't consulted me). Then when we arranged a new time she told me that I would have to pay an extra £6 on the day as the junior stylist only works on a weekend so I would be charged Joleyn's rate. Why was I able to choose the junior if she doesn't even work weekdays?! When I got there the door was locked and Joleyn was surprised to see me as she forgot she had brought my appointment forward. During the cut she picked up a comb and clip that were FULL of hair and it was offputting watching her pick it all out while I was sat there. The cut was fine and Joleyn was chatty and polite but it just wasn't booked in well, she didn't communicate changes and I think that enabling the customer to choose and pay for a cheaper option, only to be told it isn't available, is very misleading. There was no apology for this so that makes me think she's fully aware of it but chooses to let people book in and get the extra £6 off them. I won't go back.
Great experience, it was my first time visiting Joleyns , my hair looks amazing after the cut and blow dry. EXACTLY the way I wanted. Will be going there again for sure.
