The hotel was great overall. Starting with the location, it is located just off the motorway as you are entering Wokingham, however it's secluded nature makes it peaceful and super relaxing. The staff are super efficient, helpful and friendly and there was not one member of staff that I would not recommend as star employee. The room was our favourite part, as it was the perfect juxtoposition to a quaint and old(er) building - the room was modern, super comfortable, LOVED the decor and it even had bathroom speakers so we could listen to the TV/music channels whilst in the shower. The only part I was disappointed about was that the room did not have a bathtub but I am definitely more of a bath person so am biased, but it would have been nice to have the choice of bath or shower.
The spa and fitness facilities were great, the pool and jacuzzi were hygienic and relaxing areas and the spa rooms were very nice. I'd say though that this was the part that we were most disappointed with as the spa is very booked up. We would have liked a choice of some add-ons treatments on the day but there were none left. I booked this 'Mother's Day' spa break via LastMinute.com but as previous reviews had confirmed, the spa is booked up way in advance and so I had to call them up before making any sort of booking to make sure that we could book our complimentary spa treatment (part of the deal I purchased), I was lucky as there was one left!

Last but not least the food was very good, our deal was 'dinner only' included and for dinner we were offered both the buffet and menu options or even a mixture of both which was very nice. Unfortunately we opted for the buffet and realised that the menu options looked much more appealing and probably tasted better also (although it was not terrible!). I'd say we were most pleased with the breakfast buffet (which we purchased vouchers for from front desk on the morning of for £5 each). The choice of breakfast foods was outstanding and made us hit the buffet more than twice!
