This is my honest review on everything at the hotel so I booked a over night spa package which included afternoon tea dinner and breakfast. On arrival the hotel looked very nice on the outside check in was a bit shabby as they couldn’t find my reservation and luckily enough someone had cancelled so managed to get a room so this put me under stress. Had to go wait in the bar till I found out if I had a room or not. Waited at the bar for 25mins to get a drink due to there being lack of staff. Eventually ordered and waited outside for them to be brought to our table which too another 20mins. Waiting 45mins for a drink is ridiculous. We then had afternoon tea which was very nice lovely scones with cake and sandwiches staff there were very nice polite and was helpful with my dietary requirements. We then check in to our room very clean in the bedroom but bathroom could of done with a update. Then went to the spa in all honesty this is NOT a spa it’s a small swimming pool which kids splashing around screaming how are you ment to relax. I don’t have anything against kids but wasn’t relaxing. There was a steam room and sauna which could only fit 4/5 people in them so had to wait to use them. They also had a hot tub which had a load of kids splashing about in there although there was a sign saying no kids at a certain age but this was ignored. So please don’t expect anything other then what you find down your local gym. Dinner was nice was offered a two course menu or buffet which they had a bit of everything. We also had massage treatments which were amazin nice music and very nice staff. The drinks were also very expensive so make sure you have extra money. I can’t help but feel disappointed with the ‘spa’ but if you want something a little up market then I say take your money else where as this is not worth it.

I have left the ratings for the Spa facilities and treatments blank as we never received our treatments or got to use the facilities When we turned up, the lady at the spa reception was incredibly rude and unhelpful and there were no more time slots available for either myself or my girlfriend to receive a treatment. We were brashly told that we should have pre-booked and that it was in small print in our email, What good is it in small print when it is such an integral part of the booking and the only reason for booking the package in the first place?! We even called the hotel a couple of weeks before and were not told to pre-book anything. We were thoroughly disappointed. An absolute waste of time and money. What was supposed to be a lovely, relaxing weekend for my girlfriend's birthday was a complete shambles and was completely ruined.

A little disappointed that there were no bags to put wet costumes in. Not provided with robe or slippers on entering the spa area. No tampons in female toilet with no out of order sign which meant I had to leave the hotel to find a shop. Generally the staff were friendly and helpful the room was modern and clean. Food very good. Relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely first overnight spa day experience for me and my fiancée. Since we both work in a hotel it was great to experience the other side of things. The hotel was lovely, all the staff was amazing and very welcoming particularly Nikki and Sam from the Spa and Ana Maria who served us at the restaurant and another lady that I believe was Bulgarian but we can't remember her name who worked the bar and was really amazing as well. Our treatments at the spa were amazing and just what we needed to unwind. The food with the afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast was delicious and overall we had a great stay. The only resasons I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the area where we had our afternoon tea didn´t seem to have enough ventilation so because it was a hot day it felt very stuffy while we were having our food and also although the food was great as a vegetarian I felt like there wasn't much to choose from at the buffet. Otherwise it was a very good value for money package and a great stay that we'll definitely consider repeating again.

The only downside to our trip was the fact that children were allowed in the pool adjacent to the spa. I have no issue with children at all just think that if it’s a spa pool then it should be adult only.
