Fantastic value deal, but a few minor issues led to my rating the stay as 3 instead of 5 stars.

Firstly, the positives:
The reception staff are superb, extremely helpful and could not be more welcoming.
The room was spacious and immaculate, the bathroom modern and spotless, and the little extras (treats and water) were a lovely touch!
The Omnia restaurant is beautiful, the ambience is excellent, service was incredible and the food 5-star.
The gym equipment is technogym with built in TV/connections, and a reasonable size... no waiting for equipment!

Now the not so great points:
Our spa treatment (included in the price) was followed with a sales pitch to get us to buy their products - a brand I'd never heard of and very expensive for what it offered. I felt very uncomfortable with this and it ruined what had been a nice relaxing treatment. Big no.
The spa is in need of updating (advertising in the spa area made reference to a new refurbishment soon), but Saturday's are VERY busy with numerous customers and treatments, local families using the facilities, lots of children. Avoid if you want a relaxing couples weekend (as was advertised).
In the afternoon, I returned from my spa treatment and entered my room when the cleaner was finishing off (wonderful lady!), but I hadn't realised my key card didn't work - apparently the card demagnetises if too close to a mobile (!!). The cleaning manager arrived and BARKED at me demanding to know who I was - not a polite "excuse me madam, your key card isn't working, for security may I take your name?". Instead she made me feel like an intruder, which was extremely unpleasant and utterly rude. I gave her my full name and then she called reception, realised I was the occupant and gave a half hearted apology, which I accepted. Very VERY poor attitude.
On the Sunday morning, the restaurant area was packed and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated; they had clearly overbooked and/or not put enough staff on, as tables were empty and awaiting cleaning but we still had to wait. The manager had a list of room numbers to seat people according to arrival, but did not once help his staff to clean tables or organise guests; he just stood around barking at his clearly exhausted staff doing their best to attend to customers, buffet and tables. Not only that, but when told we were had to wait, I was not offered a refreshment during the wait or invited to help myself, I had to ask for one; then I had to queue at the machine whilst it was replenished (only one machine working). Really poor organisation and lead customer service (though the waitresses were fantastic).

Very sad that what could have been an excellent stay was let down badly by certain staff.

I would recommend the restaurant and perhaps a Friday night stay, but would avoid the extras and watch out for the cleaning manager and restaurant manager,

Won't be staying again, sorry. I've had better service in Hampton Hiltons on business at less than half the price.

Spa staff a bit unorganised and our treatment didn't start on time. We also asked if there was a changing room we could change in as we arrived early but they said to wait, and then we were given about 2 minutes to get changed in the treatment room which was a bit rushed. Other than this there were no complaints! Very good value for money and great treatments.

Whilst we booked 5 massages one of the therapists decided to perform a body scrob instead, leaving one of our party slightly miffed at not getting what she'd paid for. other than that, a nice stay.

Staff in the resturant looked like they couldn't cope, and sent us the wrong food. Were quick to rectify it though. Otherwise all good

We love this hotel and have visited before. The room was very spacious, modern, well equipped, and (in the most) part clean. The spa facilities are okay, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. The treatment element was not ideal, the staff were disorganised, surly, and in places quite rude, this just made me feel uncomfortable. Other than that, the hotel staff couldn't be praised highly enough. The restaurant and food was also very high quality and good value for money.

We arrived early and our room was upgraded which was nice. The room itself was very clean but did need a little work doing around the shower. The pool was very noisy and quite small but even smaller were the steam and sauna rooms. Treatments were great I had a back massage and the other party a body scrub

The location and overall deal were fantastic. Superb value for money. Only downside of the stay was the massage itself. We had paid for a 25min back neck and shoulder and at most got 15minutes. The massage was not amazing in comparison to other treatments I have had. Overall however would highly recommend this deal as the hotel, spa facilities, food etc. were all such great value for money!

The only reason I didn't award 5 stars:
I rang to book our treatments one week ahead of our stay and was told the spa only had 2 available slots left. As a result, my mum was not able to receive her treatment and we were not refunded the money or given an alternative appointment. However, everything else was absolutely fantastic and we will most definitely be staying here again. Great value for money when booked with Wahanda.

Incredible value for money - can't fault that at all!! The afternoon tea was fairly basic but still tasty; the only downside was that we weren't given a choice of sandwiches/bread etc (which may not suit some people). The 2-course dinner, however, was a very high standard and there was plenty of choice. Spa treatments were given in a double/couples room which again may not suit some guests/visitors. But the treatments themselves were brilliant. The spa itself is fairly small but certainly fit for purpose. The bedroom we were allocated was enormous and very luxurious.
We feel that the staff did an excellent job (friendly, enthusiastic and attentive), despite being run off their feet due to the two New Year events being run whilst we were there and the fire alarm then disrupting breakfast proceedings!!
Overall it was a lovely relaxing New Year break with the added benefit of enjoying the hotels own fireworks display!

Lovely hotel, room was spacious and clean. Staff incredibly helpful and food was fantastic. Spa was a let down in that you couldnt book more treatments but the staff were lovely.
