The receptionist obviously found us a nuisance as we asked questions such as where is the spa, restaurant etc. First impression wasn’t good. After that tho all staff were brilliant. Spa area was basic and could do with bit of a tidy up. Cups for water were always empty. Pool was a good size. Food and drinks were amazing. Bedroom brill. I’d defo recommend it
when we got there we waited 20 mins to be seen along with another couple that had already been waiting! Then they only had 2 robes so we had to go without until they found some, asked several times as u had to walk out into a main corridor just to go to changing rooms and toilets! We did eventually get some after a few hours, very small pool, felt U wasn't comfortable with more than a couple of people in there, loungers not a very comfortable area, steam room was very dark, the food was absolutely delicious and the waiting staff excellent, the massage was excellent and the lady lovely and very friendly
All was great except there was no mention of paying for food even though it was all included
Firstly we arrived to be asked whether we recieved a phone call to tell us that the pool and hot tub was cold which we hadn’t, but was assured it would warm up. The facilities were very basic you had to change in a communal area no option to have a cubical. When we went into the pool area there were only 4 up right chairs no loungers which I have always had on a spa day. Children were in the pool which was expected as upon booking it was detailed it was a family pool but they were in the hot tub messing around aswell so we had To wait for them to get out before we could use it. Hot tub was cold hadn’t warmed up the pool we put a toe in and didn’t even attempt to brace the temperature of the pool. Therefore we went into the steam room which had no lights, usually you expect blue lights in the steam room. Due to the cold temperature in the pool area they set up a room in the conference that had all the loungers in with water on the table which although the thought was there - was very strange, no relaxing music playing or anything. We had our treatments which I cannot fault they were very relaxing, maybe be a little more aware of banging, when they were undoing bottles of oil I assume there were quite a few bangs which Was a little distracting but the quality of the massage and facial was excellent. We also had a buffet lunch which was absolutely lovely, excellent quality food and beautiful view. We left after we had eaten for a spa day we spent only 3 hours there with one of those hours being a massage. I have had numerous spa days and weekends and I have never been to one that I was happy to leave I didn’t feel relaxed at all, it was my sisters first spa experience and I felt embarrassed because it didn’t live up to any that I had been too before.
Ola the therapist was amazing the day was lovely and the staff went out of their way to make sure my food was safe as I’m Coeliac. All round a brilliant day
