We were not happy with our experience, the hotel spa had an open weekend so local residents had free access to the spa so it was very crowded. we had to pay extra £10 for 2 bathrobes and there was no relaxation area, we had to walk to the hotel bar to have our afternoon tea and the changing area was dirty. This was a birthday present to my daughter so overall a bad experience

Booked this spa for a baby shower treat, 2 out of 4 of us were pregnant and were really looked after. The massage therapist Julianna did both of the full body pregnancy massages which both of us have said were amazing! She instantly put us at ease, was very professional and knowledgable. The massage was perfect and we both slept like babies that night...which is a hard thing to come by when you're heavily pregnant! Thanks Julianna, you were amazing!

Went to Hallmark for a friends baby shower this weekend. I have never had such a bad massage experience! Myself and another friend had the same therapist and unfortunately had the same experience. We booked 2 x full body massages and I have never had a massage experience where the therapist was sat down through the whole treatment. She was scooting around the room on her chair to get to different parts of my body which was very loud and unrelaxing, I could hear her slurping her drink in between each section of the massage and to make it worse there was no relaxing music to cover up some of the noise. The massage itself felt like I was being stroked repititively. I couldn't wait for my 55 minute treatment to end, luckily she decided to cut my massage short to 45 minutes anyway.

Our stay was relaxing and welcoming over all.
3 stars for cleanliness as our room was full of cob webs from side of the room to another . Noticed this as we were leaving .

Robes given were very tatty and old looking, the pool area was full of children on Saturday throwing a ball around the entire pool, very very noisy and really not relaxing, wasn't able to swim around the pool without getting splashed by kids jumping in or a ball coming towards you! Not to mention having to swim around them all the time not very enjoyable and really approriate for a spa facility! Certainly not what you would expect! The spa bath was out of order, this is the sort of thing that should be mentioned to guests when booking to avoid disappointment on arrival, me and my partner booked our stay in the hotel for a spa weekend we picked this hotel specifically due to its spa facilities however we weren't able to use them all but were never informed of this or apologied to. Wouldn't have booked if we had known. My back neck and shoulder massage was lovely and the lady who did this for me was very good and polite, However on arrival I had to fill out a very long form, I understand for medical purposes etc a form does need to be filled out but you do not need to know my daily skin care routine etc simply for a back massage, I should have been told what parts to fill in, relevant to my treatment. I was also never told to arrive early to fill out such a form st any point, not when booking, or not when receiving reminders. I turned up 5 mins before my massage but this was not enough time to fill out the form therefore rushing to fill it out to avoid missing out on my treatment - certainly not a very relaxing start and something that I feel should definitely be addressed for future visitors.

Unhelpful staff, very disorganised which meant that although we arrived early we were late going in for our treatment and weren't given the full 25 minutes we paid for. Disappointed as it was supposed to be a birthday treat.

The hot tub /jacuzzi was freezing, booked massages for myself an partner (this was suppose to be a relaxing birthday treat for him, your female staff namely lucy (one of the ladies giving massage, ran towards my partner introit of me an asked to take him down early before me for a massage, I then replied with no, after that she flirted with my partner as we walked down to our massage never once spoke to me an shut the door in my face, after I stated I will be complaining she then hid in a room an awaited for me to be taken for a massage before asking my partner to go for his, I had a massage with jane after leaving the room I had numerous scratch marks on my back from were her nails dug into my back, we then continued an decided to leave spa an go eat, we were served out first course and after finishing an 45 mins later asking If plates could be cleared an have desert we still had to wait another 20 mins for this to happen,

The stay was brilliant, facilities were great the only thing that let it down was waiting times at the, stand in line for 20 mins to half hour then your drink order gets forgotten and you wait half hour.

The spa was lovely, had a really nice treatment, and the ladies were a pleasure to talk to.
However, the restaurant was absolutely appalling. In the evening we had to ask a total of 4 time to turn off the Air Con as it was extremely cold. Staff would come over and take out order for food and more drinks, and leave dirty plates and glasses on our tables.

The morning for breakfast ruined the whole weekend for us. As we were being shown to our table BY THE MANAGER, he was stopped by another guest to advise there were NO food left. He smiled and carried on showing us to our table, we must of walked past 5 empty tables with dirty plates on. Did this manager turn back and urgently clean away there tables? No, he just stood at the entrance waiting for more guests to appear. By this time, the queue for the hot food was ridiculous, as everyone was waiting for the hot food to be filled back up. We decided to join the queue, and when we got to the front, oh there's no bacon or hash browns left. We informed the staff to be told, it will only be a minute, get the rest of your breakfast on your plates and it will be ready. So there's us, piling on our breakfasts, to then have to stand there waiting for 5 minutes for bacon. By this time, as you can probably imagine, my food was cold. So I had to get back into the queue. Luckily this time, I could fill my plate up, but when i got to the toaster, there was no bread. I notified a member of staff, again, I just gave up as I didn't want another plate full to go cold. When I walked back to my table, to my absolute SHOCK, the tables we walked past when we entered were still not cleaned. How do you expect your guests to enjoy their breakfasts whilst sat next to other people's dirty leftovers?

The manager was the poorest excuse of a manager I have honestly ever set eyes on. You seriously need to put him through a customer service review.

This weekend was a wedding gift to us, so thank you for ruining a good weekend, that should of been stress free and a relaxing getaway for myself and my husband.
