We came to this spa for a birthday weekend, which in all honesty was disappointing because of this spa.
Upon arrival a girl called Chantella was extremely rude and unhelpful on reception, she tried to charge us more for our treatments and didn't initially take into account the deals that were on that we asked for. She was very unwelcoming, she looked down on us the entire time and we felt more like a problem than guests. To top this arrival experience off, the spa had ran out of towels and robes, which was really inconvenient seen as though there is no access to the relaxation room from the pool, which is where we waited before treatments.
The massage I had was one of the worst I've ever had, the therapist was neglectful. I didn't feel relaxed at all afterwards, all I could concentrate on was what she wasn't doing and the stones kept slipping off my back which was distracting.
My friend had a manicure which was applied messily and too thick, which meant it was tacky after the treatment and ended up being removed. She also commented on how messy the work station had been left with filings all over and tools not properly cleaned. Both treatments were a waste of money in all honesty which is why my other friends didn't bother the next day.
The spa facilities were dated and worn which made it appear very dirty.
The best part about that spa was the sauna, but we spent very little time in there as it was quite well used by lots of men from the gym.
The final point that I feel the spa needs to work on is the swimming lessons, when you go to a spa you expect to be able to relax and unwind which is quite difficult on a Saturday morning when the pool is taken over by children having swimming lessons from noisy instructors.
The most important thing that this spa could work on to get instant improvements is the service from the staff. Having had such a bad experience on reception with Chantella when we arrived and again when we left just set the tone for the entire experience. Had we received a warm welcome and been made to feel comfortable I don't think the other elements would have prompted me to writing this review. Even though the treatments weren't what we expected both beauty therapists were very polite.
No robes or towels as they ran out of clean ones. We had booked 2 months in advance. No explanation or apology for no linen.
The relaxtion room is next to the gyn and reception. You had to wait in the relaxation room before treatments so had to walk around in swimwear where members of the public could see. Very embarassing and not spa like. Reception staff rude and unhelpfully.
Spa was dirty chewing gum stuck on water fountain.
Jacuzzi not working no explanation given or apology for this.
Massage was good and 2 girls performing the massages were friendly.
Would not recommend as a spa. More like a gym with pool and sauna.

I was very impressed with the sheer professionalism of the Spa staff. There had been a problem booking my party's treatments but they went out of their way to remedy that. I will definitely come back. Food excellent, rooms lovely and clean - welcoming reception team - wonderful!
