Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The room was spacious. The food was of a good quality. The spa facilities were excellent. It was slightly marred by there being no air con in the bedroom. And, it was almost ruined by having to wait an hour for a starter on our first night (which arrived with the main course). The young barman who had taken our order had failed to communicate it and then did nothing to resolve the situation, despite repeated requests to do so. He seemed only interested in serving certain customers and attending to those he wanted to (in the mean-time, we watched 4 other tables being served before us, despite ordering after us). The following day, he did likewise by asking another member of staff to serve us, despite serving everyone else himself. This made us feel very uncomfortable. Please send him on a Customer Services course (don't know his name but he had ginger hair). The Duty Manager that first evening was excellent and dealt with the situation professionally and amicably, resolving our complaint and providing a solution swiftly. After all, our visit to the hotel was a 40th birthday gift for my wife.

I went on a spa weekend with my disabled mother and 2 friends. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean, food was really good.

Only issues we had were that the lift to the spa was broken so we had to walk around the hotel to the entrance as my mother is in a wheelchair and also the lift down to the pool was not very reliable. Luckily it worked for us.

Overall fantastic value for money, great hotel and great stay. Just check that lifts are all working when booking.
