Although the food was excellent it was slow service.
The deal was definitely vale for money but spoiled by the bar and restaurant areas being very cold.

Called for a mid-week break with the missus, on a DBB basis. From the word go, the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were given a very good room, with easy access to the bar, spa and restaurant. We enjoyed £22 towards the cost of dinner, which was sufficient. The food was very good and ample. The location was ideal and it was a very short walk to the canal, along which we walked into Chester - tarmac surfaced all the way! Would go again.

Real value for money but it's a good job as drinks were very expensive, seemed to have skeleton staff, waiting at the bar for ten minutes to get a drink. Had a constant problem throughout our stay with door cards and reception staff not the most accommodating towards this. Food was outstanding though which made the stay worthwhile

hotel was very good - food excellent - staff friendly and luckily, helpful. The problem was that they had been given an incorrect name by your company which gave us problems when trying to book in - resolved after a long time!

Great location 2 mins walk to park and ride into Chester. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. By error I booked a double room but wanted a twin, that was no problem, changed by receptionist with no fuss at all. Room was spotless, great facilities and very cosy beds. Food for dinner was ok, but that may have been my choice off the menu. Had cocktails in the loung afterwards. There was a football match on but the sound was down so we didn't really notice, and were able to talk. Breakfast was lovely, great choice of fresh fruit, etc and full English. Great value would definitely love to stay again, when visiting Chester.
