The spa is not the most ambient, the swimming pool was small with a lot of people in it and the jacuzzi was out of order. However, the head, neck and shoulder massage was amazing and spa staff were superb. Dinner (& cocktails!) and breakfast were sublime. Unfortunately, the hotel looks tired and dated, could do with a renovation. Overall though we had a lovely stay and it was very good value for money.
Overall a nice stay however none of us slept well due to the heat, no air con, no fans left and inconsiderate guests banging doors all night.
Food was good, as was the service.
Spa looked a bit of an afterthought. Again no air con in treatment rooms, nor atmosphere as in previous ones I've visited. Poor girls were sweating
Great spa break, great price, spa, dinner and breakfast, you can't go wrong. Good location, our second stay, would recommend.

The service in the restaurant at dinner was awful the cold starters came out last and after cooked ones. Again dinner was messed up with one person of our party getting theirs once everyone had finished. My steak was fatty and didn’t eat it. We waited an hour nearly for the bill. Breakfast was good but it was a buffet so we could serve ourself thank god! Then we thought we’d give lunch a go before we left as it all sounded lovely! 50 mins wait for cheesey chips is laughable when it’s empty I could have gone to McDonald’s and back quicker. My friend had the mature cheddar cheese and chutney prickle sandwich at £6 I think it was it was very pricey he was expecting nice crusty thick bread nice thick cheese and real pickle not a sandwich that looked like it cost a £1 from Tesco I’d be embarrassed if I was serving that on the regular and the side salad was another laughable thing one lettuce leaf one tomatoe and one cucumber slice! The rooms were very hot! It was for my husbands birthday and a couples night away from our kids and it didn’t run as smoothly as expected! I wouldn’t recommend this particular hotel to a friend! The spa is very dated too and the treatment was not all that.
