Before Facelab™ London, there was The Brow Lab London. And before that there was just Calla and her career in Quantity Surveying. Far from creative (and oh-so dominated by stats and numbers), Calla felt stuck, stifled and fed up with her “career”. And while Facelab™ London was just a flicker of an idea, investing in micro-pigmentation training and realising her talent was very much a reality. One that was far more appealing than Quantity Surveying. So, VTCT Level 4 in Micro-pigmentation qualification in hand, Calla began to lay the foundations for Facelab™ London. In late 2019, Calla expanded her services to offer a suite of Semi-Permanent Makeup including Lip Blush, Brows and correctional services. She was driven to build a Semi-Permanent Makeup clinic offering her clients a turn-key, ‘full-face’ treatment that left them feeling confident and fresh-faced: everyday. As Facelab™ grew and evolved to become the professional and tranquil environment it is known for today, Calla continued to expand and meet the needs of those who mattered most: the people sitting in her treatment chair. In 2020, Facelab™ London launched a Training & Education Academy so Calla could share her knowledge and experience with those who had a similar passion for SPMU – whether they had existing qualifications or were looking for a career change. To this day, Calla continues to push the boundaries of aesthetics – championing safe practices and holistic treatment plans. She has also successfully expanded to focus on all areas of skin including medical skincare, aesthetics and laser.
