I went to Essensuals Bath to get a cut and highlights done. I arrived and was seated & offered a drink to which I asked for a tea. The lady cutting my hair asked how I wanted it and continued on with the trim. After she said she had finished I asked her to please cut into my hair more as one side was cut very blunt, I could see she was a bit annoyed at this and her attitude wasn't pleasant. If I'm going to a high end brand like Essensuals Bath hair dressers I don't expect to have to tell them to cut into my hair and not have it so bluntly cut!
My tea had not arrived and I was asked again would I like a drink to which I said yes please a tea. The colourist arrived and was a nice girl who listened to what I wanted she did my hair very nice and was a nice girl to be around. After my colour was applied I was asked yet Again if I wanted a tea? I said yes I had asked already and I finally got my tea.
The wash was nice and I was offered a treatment for an extra £11, the treatment was lovely although I thought as an added cost it could of been longer and with more of a head massage. I've had treatments before at different salons which lasted alot longer and were the same cost, apart from that the wash was nice and the girl pleasant!
The dry and straighten was good to i was asked how I wanted it and she took care while doing it, although it wasn't as plush a finish as I normally have in Toni & Guy it was still OK, I think the young girl was a novice.
When it came to paying I was quoted more that what I was told on the phone I did say this and it was corrected, I also asked for the lower technician but was apparently given the highest which is great but I didn't ask for this on the phone. I also found when I was paying and sorting this error out that four girls were stood watching which I found intimidating and unnecessary, surely one girl is enough and the other three probably could of been making teas!
My son and partner arrived while I was paying and my son was stood by the door, the girl who cut my hair went to walk back in and I moved my young son out of the way, she didn't smile or acknowledge he was there which I found rude, I said sorry and smiled and got nothing back I actually found her attitude from start to finish appalling there is no customer service there and would suggest that training in this should be provided.
In all I'm happy with my colour and after rectifying my cut it was fine, even with the tea issue and payment problem it got sorted. I would go back to my colourist but with the cut I would definitely get a different girl with more of a welcoming personality and trained to the standard I expect for a high end company.
The Toni & Guy in bath is very good the customer service is excellent compared to Essensuals Bath. The best Toni & Guy I have been to has to be Exeter!
