Enjoyed the facial treatment, the treatment room looked very clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and made myself and my daughter feel really welcome. We had a good relaxing time and also had lunch at the adjoining restaurant. I'd recommend it - both the spa and the restaurant.
Fantastic, relaxing, friendly, efficient and the overall atmosphere very welcoming. I booked this Spa for a girls weekend break and we were not disappointed, it was very relaxing staff were excellent and the facilities especially the inclusive Spa treatment was truly amazing. The food was very enjoyable everything cooked perfectly, breakfast could be an all morning event with the choice of foods, buffet style as well an ordering from the menu again all inclusive. I would definitely look to book next year!
We only had the pleasure of staying one night but wow. My mum and i have been to previous hotel Spas, this is by far the best value for money and the most friendly and accommodating one so far.
We had a package deal for a nights stay with dinner (A bottle included) and breakfast the next morning. The dinner was Exquisite, my mum is quite a fussy eater but she is still talking about the salmon now :) Breakfast was a feast, so much to choose from, a cooked breakfast, cereal, fresh fruit, you name it they had it.
Our room was gorgeous, we loved the Big shower head, it was cozy and comfy and very clean.
My mum had a hot stone treatment, she was a little dubious as she had never had a male therapist before, but when she came out (With the pre treatment glow) she was very impressed. The pool area was lovely to just chill by the pool, the steam & sauna were great too. One thing to be aware of is that a lot of families stay at the hotel so check times that the pool is available to children, although this didn't bother us one bit.
Overall we loved our stay, we are hoping to go back again soon and telling everyone what a great time we had.
We were pleased with the service, the room was nice and it was a nice atmosphere to be in. The breakfast was good however we didn't like the dinner. After returning home, we discovered that holiday inn had charged us £200 extra - despite having told us that they only took our bank details for "security". They told us that we would not be charged without notice yet we checked our bank statement to fine £200 taken away - for "damages". Both of us checked the room and left it in a lovely condition - as we often stay at hotels and have never had this problem. This had just made our stay a waste of money as otherwise the deal would have been good. We are currently in the process of trying to get our money back. We cannot recommend this to anyone as we do not want this to happen to anyone else.
The hotel is about 15 minutes from Reading train station, very easy to get to in a taxi. Really lovely hotel, excellent massage treatment and the friendliest staff I have ever met! The food was excellent to.
