Nice staff, a bit chaotic, afternoon tea boring and lack of variety ,did not want 2x everything.
Felt overlooked due to a wedding during afternoon tea
And spa double booking ,
Disappointed ,should have been much better,would like an explanation as to what went wrong as this was meant to be a lovely day for my daughter and myself
Lovely staff. Couldn't get treatments on the Sat as fully booked and couldn't get treatments at same time as my friend on the Sunday as only one therapist working. Couldn't get the treatment I wanted as therapist not trained in that particular treatment. Have to say, lovely therapist and was very happy with the eventual treatments I did have. Food was mediocre and did not get the advertised vegetable dishes with my main meal - when I queried this, I was told I was wrong and the dish didn't come with vegetables - it was one of the vegetarian options! Great value package but the hotel needs to get a bit of oomph around spa customer service. The pool area is very run down and didn't feel particularly clean, especially with a family just sitting in the jacuzzi, whilst it was on the cleaning cycle and another customer who sneezed during his jacuzzi time (I know that's not the hotel's fault!!). I just feel that the Eight Acres has good points and bad points, great potential and with some attention to detail and awareness, things could be so much better.
This was a great birthday treat for my sister-in-law and me. We have a very relaxing time in the Eight Acres Hotel and Spa. The beauty therapist Kathryn was lovely and put us at ease. We had wonderful relaxing treatments and an amazing high tea too. Would definitely book this deal again. We enjoyed it so much we have booked a 2 night stay so we can have more treatments! highly recommended.
