Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the entire experience and would not return:
- the salon is not called Claudia's it is called something like Krystal's(??) & can only be identified as Claudia's by a scrap of paper taped to the door. This was not a great first impression.
- the salon was dirty and messy. There was hair on my chair, rubbish by my feet, and a view of an unclean and untidy cupboard from the hairwashing chair.
- Nadia's command of English was not great, which would be fine except it meant she did not understand the haircut I wanted. Worse though was her very basic and unorthodox cutting technique which left my hair uneven and me tidying it up myself with the nail scissors at home.
- I am a smoker myself, and therefore not overly sensitive to the smell of cigarettes, but Nadia's breath and fingers smelled very strongly of stale smoke which made it unpleasant when she was talking by my face and running her hands through my freshly washed hair!
I was surprised by the negative experience as the salon has mostly good reviews. It would appear I got unlucky!
