China World is a bit more no frills than other massage places. You don’t get the whale music or the incense. But if you get a Swedish massage (from someone who is not Amy; I’m not sure who Amy is), you do get a very intuitive, effective massage which leaves my whole body moving more freely.
I don't normally leave bad reviews but I really thought this massage and the whole experience wasn't good. First of all it didn't have much technique; it was just more like a "rub" over and over again with rough hands and not enough baby oil rather than focusing on any knots with fingers and using any sort of different techniques. At one point she was running her elbow along the vertibrae on my spine which I've been told should never be done. The music was one song on repeat. the massage table was not padded around the face so I had to keep switching between having a hard wood edge across my forehead or chin. The door wouldnt close so I felt uncomfortable and as soon as she left me to get dressed she barged back in again. I'm usually so easy to please when it comes to massages but I really think this should be addressed...at least the door?!
