I booked this spa for my friends hen day for 4 people with full use of facilities, one treatment each and afternoon tea. On the morning we were meant to arrive I was informed that the swimming pool had registered too high a level of chlorine and that it was closed and was likely to be closed for the whole day. When we arrived I spoke with the manager of the spa regarding potential compensation for not being able to use the pool, which would have been the main facility. She apologised for the inconvenience and we totally understood that these things and happen and why we weren't able to use the pool. However, we were all very disappointed as there was not much else to do for the couple of hours we would have had to have waited for our treatments. I felt that the manager was very unsympathetic to our feelings and because I had become upset for my friend, whom I wanted to have the perfect day, she said "well you're obviously not happy, let's give you a full refund and you can go". I felt that this did not solve the problem and what she actually wanted was for us just to leave and not cause a scene. She then offered us just one extra treatment, stating we couldn't all have extra treatments because there was no space in the calender despite there not being anyone else at the spa apart from us. She explained that it wasn't about the cost of the extra treatments for her before telling us how good a deal we had gotten and that we should be grateful for what she had offered. It felt very much like she did not want us there and because it was in prestigious Chelsea and we had bought our day on a discount website that we were not good enough for the spa. She came across and not genuine in her concern as to how disappointed we were about the day not going to plan. Her customer service was appalling. As we were unable to book somewhere else at the last minute we stayed. I have to say the rest of the staff there and the therapists were brilliant and made sure that we had a great day, bringing us extra water and assisting us when required. The message was great. The facilities were nice but not as plush as I would have expected. There was no jacuzzi and there were some tiles missing from the side of the pool. Because of the way we were treated by the manager I would not return there out of principle.
Lovely day at the Spa, although afternoon tea service was very slow!
Good value for money! Sauna and steam room are separate for men and women.
Had a lovely experience at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Extras were rather expensive but you can't really not expect when staying in Chelsea.
It's a nice hotel although the spa is located at the back. I was there on Friday afternoon and there were hardly any people around - bonus! Very clean and relaxing. Spacious.
