It was okay. There wasnt a jacuzzi and the pool was freezing. So all you could do was use the steam room and the sauna. The timings of afternoon tea and massage were unfortunate. Because of the way everything was booked we had to go to the pool first, then get washed and changed for afternoon tea. Then after tea we had to go back up to the changing rooms and change again for the massage and then shower once again to get the massage oil off. The facilities were very clean and the afternoon tea was Devine.
One thing I did notice was the steam room and sauna were seperate for males and females. Which is fine. But if you were to book the spa day with your significant other than you would be spending a lot of time seperate.
Would I go back again for 95 pounds. No probably not.
The highlight of the visit would have to be the massage and the afternoon tea. The time we spent before that with the pool and sauna/steam room was not great. This is because there was another big group of people booked at the same time and there was not enough space to use the facilities. I felt this wasn't fair at all and should not have been allowed. As it was so full with other people we were left standing and wandering around not knowing what to do. The spa also really wasn't a spa in my opinion. There was a small pool with loungers by its side and sauna and steam room which my own gym already has. There was no hot tub or anywhere you could relax. The whole facility side of it was very bad. Definitely not worth the £85 that was paid. The afternoon tea and massage though was excellent and the hotel in which the afternoon tea is held was at a luxe 5 star hotel by its side.
