Bikram Yoga City, located in the Islington area north of London, UK, offers a place to practice Bikram Yoga.
Bikram Yoga is a unique series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in a heated room. The series of postures has been scientifically designed to work every part of the body in the correct order. Each pose prepares the body for the next pose, and the sequence maximises oxygenation and detoxification of the entire body.
Strength and flexibility are worked together to create harmony in the body. This series is unsurpassed as a way of bringing vitality, health and an incredible sense of wellbeing. The heat facilitates stretching, prevents injury and promotes sweating which aids detoxification. The class is suitable for all levels (athletes to exercise virgins) and ages (from 8 to 80) as everyone just works to their own personal capacity. It is also great fun! You will laugh, sweat and groan, and do more for your mind, body and health than you ever imagined possible!

[NB: My reviews focus on aspects of each venue/business which may particularly affect customers with atypical requirements due to disability, illness, or injury]
Teachers are quite varied in style, and of the classes I've attended most seem well-trained in their subject but to have a variable understanding of how the body (mal-)functions. They tend to stick to a 'script' which makes no allowances for the different body types that may be in the class, but if you let them know beforehand that certain movements or positions are not possible for you, most are happy to suggest alternatives and modifications (or at least let you do your own modifications unbothered). However, the room is quite large and can get very full, so don't expect much personal attention.
Stairs down to basement.
Nasty carpet in studio, smells when you walk in (although I stopped noticing after class got going). Temperature can be variable, but usually nice and hot.

A great yoga studio, with a great introductory rate (£30 for irst 30 days). After that it gets a bit pricer(£11-14 a session).
The instructors are demanding, yet accomodating to new users. They make sure if your new to bikram that you don't stretch yourself, or become overwhelmed with the heat.
The room is usually packed with people so get there early to nab a place. The studio and changing facilities could both do with being bigger. However this does not detract from how effective the class is!
I noticed results within a month.
Bring water and a towel, you will need one and otehrwise they charge.
