Amazing value, rooms were a little tired with missing draw handles and the bathroom suite could do with being replaced but that did not detract from our spa weekend. The food was lovely and we were given a private room for our evening meal when the restaurant was full. Book a table for the restaurant in advance of your stay as some residents were not so lucky and couldn't get a table as it was valentines weekend. The staff were lovely and helpful but they could do with more as they were extremely busy and over stretched. I would happily go again we had a lovely weekend and all 8 of us thought it was outstanding value.
A happy visit but marred by having to find a £1 coin for the coffee at the 'welcome'. This spoilt the atmosphere at the start of the day. Please change this!

I went on a spa break with my sister and was drawn to this hotel as the price for a spa break was so affordable. The hotel is in a lovely location if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind. We thought there was a large selection of options food wise, particularly as we were only there one night. Our trip coincided with a wedding which meant that the hotel was near enough at full capacity. It did not feel that way generally but at times we thought the hotel felt slightly understaffed for the amount of people staying there. On a couple of occasions when heading down to the restaurant, there was no one at the door to greet/seat you and you had to walk in looking for someone. However the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The other aspect I thought was worth mentioning is that the pool area is open to the public (those who are members of the leisure club). We felt the changing rooms were more leisure club style rather than that of a spa or a hotel i.e. not very relaxing. That being said the showers were great, we were provided with robes and found comfortable seating area by the pool. The treatment rooms are located just off the reception rather than being in a designated area of the hotel. This didn't massively affect the overall experience but just thought it would be useful for others to know.
