I went on a spa break with my sister and was drawn to this hotel as the price for a spa break was so affordable. The hotel is in a lovely location if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind. We thought there was a large selection of options food wise, particularly as we were only there one night. Our trip coincided with a wedding which meant that the hotel was near enough at full capacity. It did not feel that way generally but at times we thought the hotel felt slightly understaffed for the amount of people staying there. On a couple of occasions when heading down to the restaurant, there was no one at the door to greet/seat you and you had to walk in looking for someone. However the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The other aspect I thought was worth mentioning is that the pool area is open to the public (those who are members of the leisure club). We felt the changing rooms were more leisure club style rather than that of a spa or a hotel i.e. not very relaxing. That being said the showers were great, we were provided with robes and found comfortable seating area by the pool. The treatment rooms are located just off the reception rather than being in a designated area of the hotel. This didn't massively affect the overall experience but just thought it would be useful for others to know.
