Spa a bit dated but has pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Massage was meant to be an hour but only lasted 45 minutes which was disappointing although the massage itself was good.
Brilliant hotel, spa is nicely sized, plenty of character. Only issue was the food in the restaurant. Not much choice or information about dishes. Breakfast, however was excellent.
Really good value for money - 2 treatments and lunch as well as use of facilities. One dowwnside to having picked a weekend was quite a few children using pool and splashing us by jumping and bombing into pool with none of the staff enforcing that this wasn't allowed (quite a few signs showing this).
The room wasn't ready for us by 3pm and we had to sit and wait for a while. There were no toweling robes left in the wardrobe only the mules. The bread rolls at dinner were rock hard - would have been nice to serve warmed rolls. Apart from these small things the whole experience was lovely and was much enjoyed.
Seemed like good value on the face of it, but this isn't a destination spa. There is a pool, steam room, sauna. That's it. The facial was excellent, one of the best ive had. But whole place was let down by poor cleanliness in changing rooms and toilets. Our hotel room was dated, not that clean, stains on carpets, broken tiles in bathroom. Guess they're refurbishing, as work started in the next door room at 9am the next day without our prior knowledge. I can't believe we were put in there...clearly a hotel that doesn't care about customer experience. The staff were miserable as well. Most, apart from the beauty therapists who did our facials and the restaurant staff who were great, as was our meal, they all struggled to smile. We won't be back.
