My two friends and I booked for the morning spa session 9-1 on a Monday. The young lady at reception in the spa was lovely and very welcoming.

The swimming pool was slightly on the cool side and the steam
Room slightly small but sufficient. We really enjoyed the pool with the jets like a jacuzzi!

My friend and I had a back neck and shoulder massage and my other friend had a facial.

The massage was interesting and most of the time I enjoyed it but on occasion the pressure was slightly rough so maybe an idea for the therapist to ask if pressure is ok !

I thought overall the spa lacked a bit of ambiance and needs a little tlc.

We had lunch in the hotel and cannot fault the food and service ! Absolutely brilliant , to improve it even more a tablecloth and dressed table with a candle and fresh flowers would have added an extra touch of comfort.

Beautiful setting, good facilities although sauna is situated away from the spa facilities main area ie downstairs in changing rooms is my only criticism. Stayed for lunch which was very pleasant. Only negative comment is cost of prosecco £8 a glass!! Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Lovely clean rooms. Food was the best I have tasted. Spa unfortunately let it down. There was no drinking water available and we had to ask, it was very warm and felt very dehydrated. Would of been nice for staff to have given us a quick tour. Not very relaxing as there was a number of noisy children in the pool. We booked 3 massages and one facial but we all had to have massages as the therapist said she wasn't told about the facial booked. However the hotel exceeded our expectations, couldn't of asked for a better stay. We felt very much looked after and the staff were very friendly. The hotel made up for the spa being so poor.

Staff very friendly and helpful! Nothing bad to say about them. Massage Therapist was one of the best I ever had. Only remark is to update the place a bit, it has soo much potential. The radio/cd was old and a bit annoying (scratchy) during the massage. Would return though.

The wax was fine and the therapist was actually very thorough. However, she did not disinfect or clean the area/me first and also did not remove all wax afterwards.

Not easy to find location and very poor reception staff who had no idea who had booked what rooms etc. Reception staff do not seem to communicate with the spa staff with regards to bookings etc. We had booked a spa treatment at 3pm but were told our room was not ready so had to go straight into spa on arrival. We were also booked into the wrong room after I had contacted the hotel directly to request a twin room. Had to wait until past check in time to access room. A poorly organised process.

The form won't let me add ratings to the individual items. Overall I rate the venue 3 and the treatment 4. The venue was a beautiful setting but the decoration including the artwork was appalling, disturbing and offending. The treatment was carried out in a hotel room. I understand there are some refurbishments underway. The staff in the bar weren't overly attentive. One made another customer go up to the bar to look at the wine list rather than passing it to them. The barman seemed to busy to serve us even though we were the only ones there and got our order wrong and forgot our water. I think the venue has massive potential but whoever is in charge of the art work, in my opinion, need to ask the customer what they want to look at. Disturbing, offensive artwork or pleasant, appealing artwork and if the latter, get new suppliers. Also the decoration of the building is nigh on sacrilegious.
