For starters Id just like to say I've contacted the salon directly FIFTEEN times regarding my issue and to this day I haven't gotten a response so Ive decided to warn others so you don't experience what i experienced at this salon. I booked a patch test and beauty and melody marble arch in hopes of treating the sides of my face, underarms and arms. After the patch test I was told I was eligible for laser hair removal on all areas. I told the clinician that 4 weeks prior I had gotten severely sunburnt on my arms with led to scarring and patchy skin. The clinician looked at my arms and told me that I was still eligible for laser hair removal as i was in the sun 4 weeks ago and it would be ok. I trusted the clinicians judgment and she proceeded to do a patch test. I was told during my appointment that should i have an adverse reaction to the laser hair removal that I should contact the clinic within 48 hours and i would be given a refund. I stupidly believed them. The next day my arm where i had the patch test was inflamed, swollen and itchy. I contacted a friend who is a doctor and showed her pictures of my arms and she was beyond horrified that any registered clinic would even do a patch test and told me to contact them immediately to cancel the treatment on my arms. I did this and asked for a refund but was told that the manager had recently left, the owner wasn't in store and so no one could authorise a refund. I left my name and number to the receptionist who told me the owner would contact me ASAP. This never happened. I called the clinic on numerous occasions and each time the receptionists would tell me there was no one around who could help me. Eventually I was told they would need to see proof of an adverse reaction so as per their request i sent them pictures of my arms and was told the owner would contact me as soon as she was free. That was 2 weeks ago. Im still getting my face and underarms treated and so far everything is fine but I just can't believe this clinic won't give me my money back for the amount i paid for my arms (which i was assured I would get if I had an adverse reaction). Im so disappointed in this business and to think I recommended 3 friends to the clinic, I've since called all 3 and none of them are having laser hair removal with beauty and melody due to my experience. Incredibly disappointed.

2 weeks ago, Alexandra did my nails and it was genuinely the best gel / shellac manicure i've ever had. She was meticulous, thorough and professional throughout and there isnt a single negative thing i could say.
I came to the salon thanks to a Groupon deal and will go back and pay full price. My nails STILL look great, shellac has stayed on - they've lasted a holiday and a hen do! Thanks Alex.

Had a course of 5 laser treatments (though paid for 6). Not a good experience at all. My only consolation is that i never paid the full price. I have done the laser treatment in Angel branch. The salon there is situated above the Thai massage place, which just looks so dodgy, i couldn’t even find it at first. So don’t expect the same beautiful and spacious rooms as shown on the website from their salon in Marble Arch. But the main problem is the staff. I had 3 different beauticians.
The first one, Georgia, didn’t really know what she was doing. The treatment for full legs, Brazilian bikini, underarms and chin was taking 40 minutes (including my dressing) – I did communicate this to the manager Matthew, but he told me this is absolutely normal time. She didn’t wear the gloves, she re-used the gel she applied on one part of the body to re-apply on the next instead of wiping it and using the new gel. She never cleaned the treatment area beforehand, nor she cleaned the gel off you after. Anyway, I think they actually fired her now.
The second beautician, Renata, was in fact very good. She done much more than i expected, using towels, marking off my moles, cleaning the areas before, using new gel, thoroughly cleaning the areas after the treatment and applying olive oil and san screen. My treatment took 1.5 hours, which shows the difference. Unfortunately, I was unable to book further appointments with her.
The third girl, Kathryn, was ok. Not as attentive as Renata, but definitely better than Georgia.
The problem with so many beauticians was that each of them was saying different rules and guidelines on the length of the treatment, on the timings between the sessions and so on. You would think that the specialists in the same salon should at least use the the same pitch. So it got confusing.
The treatment didn’t work for me anywhere apart from underarms, but I didn’t want to make fuss about it, just wanted to finish the last session and forget about it. My last appointment was supposed to be tomorrow. Usually, they send you a reminder like 3-4 days in advance, which leaves you time to re-schedule if needed. They didn’t do it this time. I had called the branch and asked to re-book my tomorrow’s appointment, but i was refused this as their cancelation policy says to notify them 48 hours in advance. So, I lost the last session. You can argue that this is ok and this is how the busy salons operate, but last time THEY have cancelled my appointment ON THE DAY, about 2 hours before. So, the cancellation policy seems to be working one way only. This was the last drop that made me write this review, which i will copy to all the websites i can to give people idea of what to expect from this place.

Just had a gel pedicure here with Nina - SO good, cannot recommend highly enough!

Friendly and attentive reception staff (and no issues with accepting Treatwell voucher, which i know can be the case at some salons). Nina, who did my pedicure was amazing - really friendly and chatty and also did a really thorough pedicure (sometimes when i have had gel pedicures in the past at other salons they have been less than attentive with cuticles, dry skin removal etc).

Great value for money (particularly as i used a Treatwell discount code, but even without this, would still be reasonably priced) - i will definitely be back. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have a few more gel colours to choose from.

First of all I want to begin this review by saying that I have been a loyal customer of this salon for the past few years.
The therapists always do the best job on my nails and any waxing treatment I had with them.
The main issue I have is what I assume is the management of Beauty & Melody. It is practically impossible to get a treatment here without planning something like a few months in advance if you want to do it at a convenient time during a week day. You would think that this is due to the success of this salon but really it's just bad time/people management. Most girls are busy with laser (which is fair enough, that's why it would be booked up so far in advance) but the reality is that while laser is getting done on customers you cannot get say a manicure because the same people have to do it. So while the girls are booked up with laser no other treatments takes place in the salon. Manicure tables essentially are just empty.
Secondly, for gel nails, specifically, the salon is not capable of ordering any new colors. They ran of the old ones but the new ones have been ''coming in'' for about 3 months now. This to me also shows bad management as it isn't rocket science to order new nail polish, it is a pretty basic requirement for a beauty salon.
Again, these are complaints of a regular customer who visits the salon 3-4 times a month as I have been doing, which is why they are so specific.
Overall, it has become an increasing headache try to find a time that suits me in order to get a treatment at this salon.
Good luck to anyone who tries to make a booking! I think I will go elsewhere.

Thank you for your feedback. As you mention we are a very busy salon which is a testament to our success. We currently have 3 locations (and 2 more opening in the next 6 weeks). We are aware that it can be difficult to get an appointment at busier times. We have in fact hired and fired 3 therapists in the last month who unfortunately didn't meet our high standards. We have a very experienced and talented therapist starting with us today 2/2/16, Marilene and more interviews in the next few days to help us accomodate demand. It is no problem at all to find average therapists but we really only want the best and would prefer to only hire the best, this takes time!
We currently have over 60 shades of gel polish in stock on our Gel display stand (which is full). We had a delivery of about 10 shades last month to replace the colours that had run out and order about once a month for replacement colours whenever needed. We appreciate constructive feedback but want to ensure all our potential customers that we have appointment availability and plenty of gel colours in stock!!

Love this place! I had Russian hair tape extensions it was the first time I've ever had extensions as I have very very thin weak hair and was worried about getting them. Almost cried when I saw the results!! Absolutely love them. The staff are fantastic and made my experience amazing. They are so helpful full of advice honest and reassuring. I definitely recommend this salon and will be going back. Thank you!!

A massive disappointment on a costumer service side.
lost a evening by attending to this appointment, Happy to spend more money else where.
They don't care about a client been happy.. they only car about how much money goes into the till.
Monica was amazing the reception was appalling.. what a shame for the owners.

I have checked our records. You came for a patch test for laser hair removal. Our notes on your appointment say that you wanted to have 1 large and 1 medium area treated which we had advertised at the time for £219. The notes say that you only wanted to pay £129 for this (which would be for 2 medium areas rather than 1 large and 1 medium area). I'm sorry you feel that we only care about how much money goes into the till. This is simply not the case. My team all do their best to offer first class service and we hope that every client leaves 100% happy, if this is ever not the case I will do my best to correct any situation that arises. We were not trying to overcharge you or rip you off in any way but were simply charging the price as advertised. The laser hair removal prices at the time had already been heavily discounted so we are unable to discount this price any further.

I had been travelling and I could not write the review ,but few month ago I went to Beauty and Melody near Marble Arch for roots colur retouch and trim the length ,the stylist did not speak a clear English language ,she gave me a terrible haircut and color ,the haircut was ,2 inches shorter than I asked for and layered ,I did not ask for layers,when I saw myself in the mirror ,I wanted to cry ,the color did not match on my color of the rest of my hair ,Maria the receptionist told me very rude and very gentle way that I was acting ,but the truth is that my hair looked like a rainbow of 3 colors as the colorist gave me 3 different shades on my blonde hair ,when I was was only blonde when I came in.I had a really bad experience ,and a bad customer service .

As a student it is rare that I have my hair done due to finances. However yesterday I decided to treat myself as it is mine and my partners 10th anniversary tomorrow. I have been to beauty and melody many times and usually I am very pleased with the outcome, so decided to go to them.
I got an offer for highlights for £89 but when I arrived I was told I would also need a toner and I usually have low lights too, which means it wouldl be £139 instead (no one's fault). Although this is much more than I could afford I decided to go for it.

Really wish I hadn't bothered. I went in with natural looking dark blonde hair (albeit not natural at all) and came out with stripey dark brunette and blonde stripes!! Absolutely mortified!!! I told the hairdresser that I thought it looked dark and he assured me it was the same colour as it was before I went in......hhmmmm! Feeling really tearful and not sure how it can be rectified without completely over dying my hair. I guess I shall be having our special anniversary looking like a zebra.

I have to say that my hairdresser (and all other staff) were very friendly and attentive. And I really think he just didn't understand what I was saying and asking for.

Following the above review I was offered a complimentary visit to the salon to correct my colour. So, thought I should update the review. The hairdresser (Gary?) put some additional highlights in my hair and I am really pleased with the results. Although I felt very nervous about going back - was really pleased I did. I had the highlights, treatment and hair styling. The lady that did my highlights was very helpful and gave me excellent advice on the colour. She did an excellent job on my highlights. Gary then styled my hair... And I have to say I have definitely found my new hair stylist! He is awesome... He filled me with confidence and I felt 100% comfortable leaving my hair in his hands. Usually, hair stylists struggle with my hair as it is very thick and course... But it didn't phase him at all and he knew exactly how to achieve what I wanted. The cut looks amazing!

Overall, I felt incredibly welcome and I will definitely be back! Thank you!

I went for the fantastic offer of half head of highlights, cut and blow dry with Gary.
Gary is a breath of fresh air full of energy and enthusiasm and genuinely interested in delivering an excellent service to his clients. He took his time listening to my requirements and the end result was exactly what I wanted to achieve.
I also had HD brows with Roxanna which was another treat, welcoming, friendly and highly skilled. She transformed my brows in 20 minutes.
The staff are extremely professional and very friendly from the moment you walk in the door to when you leave.
This is now my favourite salon, a super find in Central London!!

a straight forward wax treatment- decent job although there were some areas with hair left over and maybe the lady could have been slightly more generous when applying the wax, apart from that was a normal waxing experience.

It really was a fantastic cut and colour. The hairdresser was friendly and attentive - alongside all the staff really. She was very consultative with regards to what I should do with my hair. The colour was a perfect match and the cut was great too. I will definitely be going back.
