Tantra healing is a healing tradition based on Tantra, the holistic science of energy and consciousness. It can be regarded as the shamanic tradition of Asia and its practices are similar to what is found in worldwide shamanic healing. The unique perspective of tantra healing however comes through the link with yogic science in general and Tantra Yoga in particular.
A tantra healer is a person who has a strong connection to the spiritual world. That means that he or she has developed strong alliances with particular spirits that help the healer in diagnosing the problem and in finding a proper solution. These alliances have to be created and also maintained by proper ritual. Amba Kahly Su for example is a fifth-generation tantra healer, who was taught the art of tantra healing by her father, grandmother, and family gurus from the time when she was only 5 years old. Some of the spirits that help her in her healing practices today have been aiding her family for many generations.
To be trained as a tantra healer starts with learning a large variety of rituals. But it goes way beyond that. The healer has to learn to be very concentrated, focused for example to become a Tantra healer, you will be chosen by the spirits and spirits makes you go through a deadly challenging process where you will resolve the past karma and come on the other side alive to help and guide others. A tantrika goes through a dark tunnel, where she knows what true pain is and how it transformed into power. This is a very powerful karmic process that can only be achieved by having impeccable trust and faith in the Divine by complete surrender. This process peels the layers of Maya(illusion) which prevents us from seeing the truth about our origin and purpose. This path is by no means a shortcut or an instant fix, this work requires dedication, determination, and discipline which is completely by choice and free will.
