You\u2019re the expert \u2013 share the advice only you can give<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Whilst at home, many people will be reaching for DIY hair dye kits and tweezers \u2013 but some things are best left to the professionals. <\/p>\n<p>When creating content, think about the problems you can solve through temporary solutions, especially if your clients can\u2019t get to the salon.&nbsp;Instead of showing people how to trim their fringe, give them styling tips on how to work an overgrown one. Rather than sharing the best at-home gel mani kits, suggest things clients can do to make their manis last. <\/p>\n<p>The aim is to show the unique value of your services \u2013 so create content around your area of expertise and own it. Then, when you do open your doors, your clients will come to you first (with their eyebrows still intact).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Build a vibrant online community<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When you\u2019re putting time and effort into creating content \u2013 you want to make sure it\u2019s seen. Try going Live<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing like face-to-face time with your clients, but when that\u2019s not an option, live-streamed sessions are a great alternative to check in.<\/p>\n<p>Platforms like Facebook Live and Instagram Live are great places to spark conversation and answer clients questions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Try hosting a demonstration, a myth-busting session or simply an open Q&amp;A. Whatever you plan, give your followers plenty of notice before you go live \u2013 let them know the time and topic, and ask them to come prepared with any questions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not sure what topic to choose? Ask your community what they\u2019d most like to hear about and let them know you\u2019ll be creating your live session around the most popular suggestions<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Keep the relationship two-way<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you have a little extra time on your hands, use it to develop stronger relationships with your clients. Spark conversations and respond to your clients\u2019 comments and questions. You work hard to build these relationships every day and it\u2019s important to maintain them, even if you\u2019re not in the salon.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, make sure you\u2019re seeking support and advice when you need it \u2013 there are a bunch of people in the wider hair and beauty community going through similar experiences to you.<\/p>\n<p>Look out for online groups and forums, to find and offer learnings, support and comfort.
