Climb a Mountain - or three - for Help for Heroes

From: Healthy Habits and Innocent Indulgences,

Climb a Mountain - or three - for Help for Heroes

We here at Wahanda are always happy to support a good cause – especially if it involves a healthy dose of sweat along the way. Former Royal Marine Commando, Greg Pye, has launched a truly inspirational fundraising event to test even the fittest exercise junkies out there. He’s looking for companies and individuals to form eleven teams of eleven people who will each complete the Three Peaks Challenge – an ascent and descent of the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours: Scotland’s Ben Nevis, England’s Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in Wales.

Greg decided to launch this fundraiser after losing so many of his friends in Afghanistan and then seeing the great work that Help for Heroes does in building Personnel Recovery Centres, which provide rehabilitation for soldiers following active service. A year ago he started the company Go Commando – providing leadership and team building courses intended to create a better working environment and boost individual morale. He’s now combined the two and is urging professionals to get together to push their own limits and raise money for a fantastic cause.

Help for Heroes was founded in 2007 by Emma and Bryn Parry to support our returning soldiers and it has quickly captured the hearts of the nation, gaining high profile support from the likes of HRH Prince of Wales, HRH Princes William and Harry - even the very hard to please Simon Cowell.

Dates are being snapped up by the second, but if this sounds like a challenge you could rise (three times) to, give Greg a ring on 0151 625 6568 for more information or to book a place.

Alex is a fresh, new intern at Treatwell, and she's very excited about finally being in London . She loves summer sunshine, music , dancing and writing about everything and anything, but has a bad habit of trying to do a million things at once... so don't blame her if she's running late!
